They don't embed on the 'party so you can't view them easily; you have to download them instead. This is spooky to some people because the file could be something like 'p and they would only know once they downloaded it

apparently, the man running this channel believes that the Christian God is in fact the devil and we should throw out our Bibles in favour of old Christian dogma. his evidence for this is… the Bible

>the christian God is the devil itself according to the very same Bible

a bit of an oxymoron there…what a looney…..

I haven't read their reasoning, but it makes perfect sense to me.

A translation created by a protestant would almost certainly be false (from a Catholic perspective), leading the reader to adopt heretical beliefs.

What I'm interested in is if they apply this rule to bibles written in the original Greek as well, and to a Tanakh written in the original Hebrew. The Latin translation sanctioned by the Roman Catholic Church for hundreds of years had some pretty obvious translation errors that came to light when the Byzantines brought over their Greek manuscripts at the beginning of the Renaissance.

There was an entire branch of early Christianity based on this belief.

In fact, I think this is what the upper echelons of the Catholic and Orthodox Church actually believe.

So if God is the bad guy for them, then who's their savior/true god/good guy?

note that there are people who believe that knowing what is written below is to court disaster

In the most well-known Gnostic sects of Christianity, Jesus was identified with the Serpent in the garden of Eden and thus with Lucifer, who sought to redeem humanity from the tyranny of the wicked creator god, the Demiurge.
Most of the first-hand knowledge we have of these sects is from the Nag Hammadi Library that was found in Egypt in 1945. Here's a BBC documentary about this find which also gives a broad overview of the beliefs expressed in them:

Here's one of the texts from the library which identifies the serpent with Sophia, the female aspect of Jesus:

For a much more in-depth discussion of the belief and its implications, see this video:

I'm pretty sure that the clerics and leaders of all big religions are either power hungry or lust for material wealth.

Maybe they didn't all start this way (I can't picture Buddha caring much about power or wealth) but that's what these things morph into.
